Portable High Chair - A must have!!!

Ever been to a restaurant where you ask for a highchair and it is quite dirty or been to a friend or relatives place and they dont have a highchair. Well look no further, i have found the best solution. It is so easy, fits in your nappy bag or handbag and you can wash it to.

Its called the "Dinky Diner". It is a portable high chair designed to fit over most dining chairs**. Simply slip it over the back of the chair, tie the straps around your baby's waist and over their shoulders, order a latte and you are all set! Its so handy that you can fit it in your handbag

Features include:

A five point safety harness
Extra wide waist and shoulder straps to keep baby comfy and safe
Secure waist strap that firmly holds baby to the chair
A nifty little carry bag so you can pop it in your diaper bag or hand bag
Machine washable and can be tumble dried
Suitable for all infants once they can sit well unsupported (approx 6 -30 months)

Ideal for:
Holidays
Cafes which do not provide high chairs or have high chairs which are not suitable for your baby
Visiting
Grandparents house
Encouraging older children to sit on a regular chair at the dining table.

**Max width of chair is 50cm. The ideal height of the chair back is 50 cm, but this flexible design accommodates chair backs that are slightly taller and shorter than this.

I've been using this high chair for my daughter for the last few months or so and I love it!!! It's convenient and can be easily taken anywhere. Personally, I prefer to use this over some of the high chairs that are provided in cafes and restaurants because my daughter tends to be able to climb out of the chair or slip through the bottom. With this high chair she stays firmly in place.

These fabric high chairs are extremely popular in Australia and New Zealand

If you are interested and want to see some pictures, email me at bubshop@gmail.com.

At this stage, the promotion price is RM50

Get it you wont regret it!!!

Please support this important petition for the rights of our children and to protect 'THE FAMILY' the true heart of any country'
As Mothers we must do all we can to guide our children and families.

Thoughts and experiences would be greatly recieved about this subject.

[quote]I cannot think of a more important issue to put my name to and I hope that everyone takes it seriously ! How we present issues to our children now will represent what our world will be in the future. At the moment we are most certainly heading down a dangerous road, so let's do something to properly educate parents and children - now !

..Campainging to clean up the image of how women are portrayed on the covers of newspapers and magazines, ie soft porn mags such as zoo and Nuts and The Sport and The Star.

Most of these publications are at 'eye leval' of children, which teaches and force feeds them from an early age to 'except' and view women as 'sex objects'.

We believe it fuels the Porn industry by encourging younger people to links to stronger material, as most soft porn titles such as Zoo, Nuts, Maxim etc have no age limits.
It also causes a great secret pain of countless women, who feel 'degraded' and 'de-valued',with many young women and young girls mis-guided to the value of their own sexuality, and self image.
These publications fuel a market of 'false' opportunities of fame and fortune., which leads to an exploitation of young women.

These issues are now starting to be reconised by Goverment too. Please write or email your local M.P.

In a recent survey publicised in The Daily Mail, 100% of young women surveyed stated these images and publications make them angry, offended, and upset.

One-fifth of young males in the same survey admitted the material encouraged them to see women as 'sex objects'

A Tory Education spokesman accused such titles "OF FUELLING THE RISE OF SINGLE PARENT FAMILLIES, AND THE COLLAPSE OF CONVENTIONAL FAMILY LIFE IN GREAT BRITAIN"

We need to target family stores such as Tesco's Sainsbury's and local smaller supermarkets, for their display of magazines and papers such as The Sport, Nuts and Zoo etc, as they are CONSTANTLY displaying these publications in full view of everyone and breaking very moral and official guidelines by having them displayed at childrens eye leval, and on the same shelves as childrens magazines!!!!

These FAMILY based stores and businesses have we believe have
'a duty bound obligation' to clean up their standards of morals if they are to be classed as 'family' stores.

Many parents have complained to The Family Moral Movement, and store managers, that they are having to tolarate having to choose a magazine for their child standing next to men and teenagers browsing through pages of sexual images of women, in such stores as Asda, Tesco, etc.

More polite pressure has to issued to family stores to
please clean up their moral act, and 'make shopping experiences for everyone a more happy experience'.
Complain politely to Store Managers, by writing, face to face or email.

This has to change! Should 'family' supermarkets, stores and petrol stations really be allowed to display in such an in your face way or even sell magazines and publications of this nature?

Films and T.V have to have 'strict' rules about their certification as to its content......so it is believed by The Family Moral Movement, that these publications are governed by the same rules and guidelines.
For example a film has to make the viewer fully aware as to its content,
but we as a Nation, including our children are exposed to images sometimes worse than the contents in some films, as we shop (without choice)on a daily basis.

A Labour M.P for Crosby, who spent a year and a half researching the industry said "I do not want to censor this material but we must do something with the display of such titles"

MP Claire Curtis-Thomas warns "titles such as Nuts, Maxim, Zoo, The Sport etc are little more than porn and should be treated as such."

Hi Julie,

I am a new comer to this blog. But your post attracted me. My youngest, 3 years old likes to suck the point finger and the middle finger both in her mouth. I tried everything I can to stop her but always gets back to her habit. There is slight rash developing under her nail due to this. I too don't know what to do to stop this habit!

I guess we can't totally blame on our husbands. We, as wife also have a part to play though. Probably, it's our tiredness after a long day at work that makes both wanted time out once reached home. Once it's weekends, both of us tried to catch up with what we've not done during the weekdays and this goes on routine. This is based on my experience. But, all in all, husband & wife should make a point to have quality time/ intimacy together as this keeps the marriage going. Well, I'm still trying...;)

I heard over the radio today that the low birth rate in Malaysia is mainly due to the husband. The facts given were wife and husband goes to work. Both return home from work, wife goes to kitchen and gets dinner and children ready while husband switches on the TV and flips the newspaper.

Do you agree with this statement?

Now, I can't get rid of them and some of my tiles are broken. Rain water starts to pour into my inner ceiling.

I found this:-

Influenza viruses infect the human upper respiratory tract. There has never been a documented case of influenza virus infection associated with water exposure. Recreational water that has been treated at CDC recommended disinfectant levels does not likely pose a risk for transmission of influenza viruses. No research has been completed on the susceptibility of the H1N1 influenza virus to chlorine and other disinfectants used in swimming pools, spas, water parks, interactive fountains, and other treated recreational venues. However, recent studies have demonstrated that free chlorine levels recommended by CDC (1–3 parts per million [ppm or mg/L] for pools and 2–5 ppm for spas) are adequate to disinfect avian influenza A (H5N1) virus. It is likely that other influenza viruses such as novel H1N1 virus would also be similarly disinfected by chlorine.

Transformers 2 is here and it is rated PG13. Would the rating deters you from bringing your under 13 children to watch the movie?

Just some info on movie ratings:-
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, all films in Malaysia are scrutinised and then categorised by the Film Censorship Board Film Control Division before being distributed and screened to the public.[4] The board was established under the Film Censorship Act 1952 and was later replaced by the Film Censorship Act 2002. In accordance to this act, the Film Censorship Board is appointed by the Minister of Home Affairs. A panel is then appointed by the chairman of the board to view each film.

The decisions made by the board on any film are categorised as follows:

- Approved
- Not approved

Approved films are classified as follows:

U (Umum, literally General Audiences) - For general audiences.

Since 2007 a new category which mirrors the US PG-13 rating was introduced as a subset of the General Audiences rating. The rating advises parents to view the flim with their pre-teen children and is known as PG-13.

PG-13 - Parental guidance suggested for children under 13. This rating was first used for the film Quantum of Solace.

18SG (Seram, Ganas, literally Graphic Violence and Horror/Terror) - Under 18 requires accompanying adult. Film may contain strong violence, gore or horror/terror people may find objectionable.

18SX (Seks, literally Sexual Content) - Under 18 requires accompanying adult. Film may contain sex scenes, nudity or sexual dialogues/references people may find objectionable.

18PA (Politik, Agama, literally Strong Religious or Political Elements) - Under 18 requires accompanying adult. Film may contain elements which include religious, social or political aspects people may find objectionable.

18PL (Pelbagai, literally Variety) - Under 18 requires accompanying adult. Film may contain strong violence, gore, horror/terror, sex scenes, nudity, sexual dialogues/references, religious, social or political aspects people may find objectionable.

Dear Ladies,

We would want to interview women for their thoughts & opinions and they would be paid. But, firstly they would need to fall into this category/criteria:

1. Age : 30 - 50years old
2. Monthly household income : > RM3000
3. Own a washing machine, which is:
- fully auto & top loading
- less than 24months( 2years ) old
- 6-7kg or 8-10kg
- either Toshiba or Samsung or Panasonic

4. Own a Refridgerator, which is:
- 2 door ( top and bottom )
- less than 24months ( 2 years ) old
- capacity 200 - 300 L

5. Air conditioner ( nothing specified)

You must be living in the Klang Valley area as we would need to do a Home Visit to view the those appliances & conduct a 45-1hour interview. In return, they would be RM100 for your time & opinion shared.

Nevertheless, if you do not fall in the aboved category, but you do own a Washing Machine ( less than 2 years old, fully auto, top loading, 6-10kg ) or a Refridgerator ( 2 doors, 200 - 300 L capacity ), you would need to come over to our office at Midvalley to be interview for a 30 minute interview, where in the end of the survey, you would be paid RM 50.

If you need further enquires, please call me at 012-5838389 or 012-6056643.

There would be interview slots for the home visit from Thursday 25th June till Saturday 27th June. And those who need to come to Midvalley would be on SUnday 28th.

Thanks Ladies & Good Day.

Hi there - great to hear that parents here are interested to start their babies/toddlers (esp boys) on reading.

I'm an English teacher and did my master's research on reading and writing. Guess what? In general, boys tend to do poorly at school due to their hyperactivity and low attention span. You can bet I read up on this when I knew I was expecting a baby boy (and he WAS very active from the womb).

Hubby and I started reading to him when he was a baby...we've continued until now he's in preschool. He's now 3.5 and what's really cool is that he's started to want to 'read' by himself (by memorylah LOL). Here's my post: - He reads his first book!

If you read my blog, you'll know that I'm *always* complaining how active and bouncy he is. Good news is that reading is one of his favourite activities.

Now that we're still reading to him, I believe that my baby in my tummy is also benefitting from it. Fingers crossed, she'll be a bookworm too!

Anyway, here are some guides I've posted about reading to babies, toddlers and also setting up a home library. Hope they help

The recipe is still the same. It's just that you don't add brown sugar. No substitute for brown sugar too. The function is still the same and outcome is as good as with brown sugar.

I was relieved when my boy did not show signs of finger/thumb sucking when he was a baby. But he is on pacifier (only during nap or bedtime) which I think is still ok as it is easier to wean him off the pacifier than his thumb/finger.

But recently, he begin to have the habit of sniffing soft fabrics with the pacifier in his mouth during his nap or bedtime. He could just pull up his or my shirt to his nose or sniffing his fav cuddly.

I don't like this habit and stop him from doing it whenever I sees it. But I know it will soon be a habit if I don't control it.

What should I do? Not just this habit but how about new habits that he may show next time.
