A friend told me about a great Ramadan initiative to teach our children important values
‘Box of Hope’ package which consists of a flat pack box with an instruction leaflet. Children are encouraged to fill the box with things they value, but no longer need and can therefore be donated to a less fortunate child. All sorts of items can go into the ‘Box of Hope’ – toys, books, colouring pencils, drawing pads, shoes, clothing - nothing is too small. Once filled the Box of Hope is returned to a distribution centre and will be shipped off to a number of orphanages around the globe.
